Our Hiring Process

Stage 1

Application

The deadline to apply is July 13th at 11:59pm PT.
 
That said, we’re reviewing applications as they come in — so if someone’s a great fit early on, we might fill the position sooner.
Stage 2

Initial Meeting with Hiring Team

This is a casual video call with a member of our hiring team. The goal is to get to know each other better, and determine if we might be a good fit for one another. 
Stage 3

Interview #1

A video interview with 2-3 YNAB team members
Stage 4

Interview #2

A video interview with 2-3 YNAB team members, including someone from our finance team
Stage 5

Async Work Simulation

You'll be added to a private Slack channel with members of the hiring team. The goal is to experience real-world, asynchronous communication and collaboration.  
Stage 6

Interview #3

This interview will happen in two parts:
  • Interview 3a will be a video call with members of our operations team.
  • Interview 3b will be a video call with members of our executive team.

Reference & Background Checks

Stage 8

In-person Interview with CEO

We'll arrange for you to meet with our CEO, Todd, for an in-person interview.
Stage 9

Offer

We hope to extend an offer in mid-September (or sooner, if we find the right person for the job).
